Help identifying our bird

Hi all, we have recently inherited a parrot from my deceased mother and have no idea whatsoever what breed it is. any help would be greatly appreciated as i will help in the care and housing of it.

Kakariki I think. Not an expert on parrot species though but s/he looks very similar to one.

many thanks i would agree he looks just like a Kakariki, i can now see we are going to have to do a lot of reading up on him.
