New siblings

I recently adopted a male vosmaeri eclectus and now he will be moving into my new home with my other parrot a sun conure that is 7 years old... Is there a technique or a way to introduce them... They have met and have not shown signs of aggression or jealousy... What steps should I take? Thank you in advance!!

First of all quarentine in seperate rooms. Don't carry bacteria or germs between the two. Always dust yourself off and wash your hands.

The rooms should be close enough that they hear each other. That way they will want to meet.

Just like bringing a baby home from the hospital always make sure the first child does not feel slighted.

make sure when you do introduce them it's in neutral territory away from anything they feel belongs to them,even if it doesn't, like cages or toys.

It's recommended to quarantine for a minimum of 30 days. Bare in mind that this does not guarentee the bird is free of all diseases though, some have longer incubation periods but it definitely decreases the risk of most things being passed on.

I don't think many pet owners bother doing it sadly. Theres always going to be a risk but I would hate to wipe out family members due to introducing a newcomer too early when the sake of a few weeks may have prevented it happening.
