Are macaws cuddly birds?

yup it looks like the cuddles are big and sweet in macaws, i've seen my friend cuddle her blue and gold so wonderfully.

i've learned that one has to be a little wary of cuddling a bird too much, however --- there are a number of recent threads on the forum about this leading to overstimulation, and excessive hormone overload in the long run. i used to cuddle my gcc a lot in the past, and but i have since then tempered down to a kind of "scheduled" cuddling, so he doesnt get overstimulated, after learning more about the relationship between too much cuddling, and the development of some negative behavioral issues related to hormonal overload.

Yes that's what's happening with me to many cuddles and kisses now he tries to bring he's food back up for me. hormones he ain't bitting me but he has started mating with his favourite toy which I've taken out and I removed the paper so he cannot shred it for nesting so I will see how we get on know
