Anyone have a crimson bellied conure?

How do they compare to a GCC in size, cudliness, nipiness, whose quieter and whose calmer in general?Any info would be greatly appreciated.

i am fully aware that every bird is a special case but just trying to understand a general difference between the species if there is even a difference.

This is a good source of information about this species. They are similar to GCCs because they are in the Pyrrhura family and, therefore, are relatively quiet like the GCCs.

I've handled a couple, but never owned one. I can't say anything about their behavior over a long term, but if you're trying to tell how much the size difference is based on GCC's you've seen/handled (since numbers aren't always helpful) they really are only slightly larger than a GCC. Before seeing them from the front, I thought I was looking at a particularly big Green Cheek.

Black Capped Conures also seem to be very similar to GCCs, though they're also slightly larger.

i have been trying to find a breeder/bird store that has crimsons but i cant find any. I like its size better. I heard they are similar to gcc but a bit bigger. Also heard they are a quieter version of a sun conure. This all interest me. if anyone know of any breeders/bird stores that has them, please let me know. (anything near nyc so nj,ct,long island areas.

Sorry, this was at a store in NH. It seems like they're somewhat uncommon.
