Personally my favourite Macaws are the Blue and Gold, and the Hyacinth. Lovely characters ^^ Not to mention beautiful appearance too.

i wanted to get a hyacinth so bad unfortunately my house is to small to allow flight for such a large bird i just saw the cutest picture of one in the arms of a child not much bigger than the bird with his head resting on her shoulder.

I love the blue and gold macaws and been offered a couple for adoption one wich I went by a petstore basically every day as I had about an houre to wait for the bus so I had a good 45 minutes to go in there to visit her. she was mean as hell to everyone but got all excited everytime I would enter and I could take her out of the aviary and play with her and learned her some tricks. This bird was offered to me already when I was 17 during this time, but I've been offered this bird on occations later as well when I've met the owner of the store, but shes has become better with her people hatred and now lives in his home and the two of them get along really good. But when I was 17 I didn't want to get a bird couse my living situations wasnt always the best, ran away when I was 15 and got a job during weekends in a grocerystore. but sicne I was so young I couldnt really get proper housing but rented second hand all the time. then i turned 18 and bought an apartment instead but it was way too small for a macaw to live in. sometimes I wonder weather or not this little girl wouldnt have liked it anyways given opportunities to fly elsewhere, but nah I consider flying to be as important and should be as available as water to a bird. I would never remove a waterbowl for my bird and so I would never have it not fly.

But sometime in the future I wouldnt mind adding a blue and gold to the flock if I ever stumble across someone in need of a good home, But I need to raise the ceiling first
