I'm just learning about Linnie's so I'm thinking... Linnie and Budgie? Or will I have more fun with 2 budgies? (obviously either way, they'd be in separate cages and only out together under strict supervision)
Here's what I've gathered:
Linnie: more friendly/cuddly, puzzle-solving, learns words sooner, diff from usual
Budgie: more energetic/playful, better talkers long-term, cleaner poop, easier to obtain
Bourke is another option, though not sure their temperament is what I'm looking for.
I love the endless mumbling chatter of budgies. Most of the time I spent with them is speaking that language till my lips and tongue are numb, and doing the beak tap thing with they do while chatting with my thumbnail. The second largest chunk of time is doing enrichment games/training. Read: I want an interactive bird, like Tika (my girl), Duke, Wiki, etc.
I do love the different behavior I've seen in Linnie's though, like holding things with their feet, and I think it'd be fun to learn another bird language since I've had budgies for 25 years.
