Hi I have a :irn:
Im not sure if I have a boy or girl, seeing as Im probably he's 3rd home, my brother passed the :irn: onto me believing he is around 1yr old and male.

Can anyone help me????

I'm not sure if your species have any sex specific identifying charecteristics but most species don't so the only way to sex them is by DNA sexing. Your vet can do this for you or you can send off a feather sample do an independant company. The latter option is usually much cheaper than the vets but availability of this service will depend on your country. A good one in the UK is avian biotech but if you run a google search you should be able to find one in your country.

if you have a male he will develop his neck ring around the age of 2yrs or so.
the behaviors can help determine their sex too.
mine looks like a female but the behavior is all male, strutting, posing, and making his wings into a heartshape as he poses. he is really funny how is is so stuck in his poses he can hardly take a treat from my hand.
