LOL! I laughed so hard at this threat, my GCC Chubby does those same things! I especially laughed at the "abruptly decide you are done and become nippy" part, I thought only mine did that. :P

I also love the way my GCC does a really spastic dance whenever he hears someone singing the "I love you, you love me" Barney song. I

I have to keep empty cups away from my GCC because if the cup had juice or soda in it he climbs onto it and leans in to lick the bottom of the cup just like Shark does in this video!

Shark is a beautiful bird! I also love my GCC's red tail; I save his tail feathers when he molts.

Glad you enjoyed the thread! GCCs are just naturally hilarious, I would give anything to see a flock of them in the wild all doing "the dance" because they found some water!

And yes, the "cuddly conure" has to end with sudden nipping. He will be cuddling and napping and sitting completely still and literally one second later out of nowhere I get a nip and he flies off.

One more thing I love about GCCs is how much they love head scratches!

Bubba is very particular about how he likes his head scratches; he usually prefers that you offer him a finger and then hold perfectly still so he can scratch himself. I don't know if that's a green cheek conure or a Bubba thing, though.

what a cute video of Bubba! thats really funny! :gcc: :P

Ringo doesnt really do this, actually - but sometimes he will come sit next to my stationary hand and look at me impatiently, with one foot already scratching his own ear, very slowly... kind of like a reminder, "hey, look its so hard for me to reach everywhere with just my little foot here. come on, help me out!"

:D

yeah, this is a rule set in stone for my GCC !! its usually a teeny weeny nip, not a bad one at all. I think its the GCC way of saying, ok, done with that, whats next? :D

i love all the above about my :gcc: .plus when he's about to fly he nose dives straight down then swoops right up into flight. when i'm sad he comes to cuddle and puts his head right in my eye. i love when he says "i love you mommy" then gives me a kiss. penny is very protective over the ones he loves i'll never forget the camping trip we took with my birds and my cousin's :irn: mojo. my cousin was petting cebal :amazon: and her bird went after him. penny flew in gave my :amazon: a sideways look that said" i got this" pushed my :amazon: back and chased my cousin's :irn: back behind her head.

I also love how bossy they are! Although my GCC hasn't been around other, larger birds, I've heard stories of some bossing larger birds around. They certainly have strong personalities for such tiny bodies. :P
