Toys for a galah

Postby theintangiblefatman » Sat Feb 09, 2013 10:46 pm

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering what types of toys your galah likes to destroy? I have an ekkie, but he is very particular about toys. He only likes to chew soft plastics, balsa, yucca, vineballs, and thin pine. So I want to be able to provide toys for a galah beak.

I have 3 galahs and the best thing is usually giving them a cardboard box to destroy

Thanks everyone for the reply

I got my galah and he loves to chew on basically everything in the cage...outside, he is only interested in particular electronics (which I take away immediately). Does anyone have any toy recommendations that will distract him from chewing on the cords? Or perhaps even recommend toys that look like electronics but also bird safe?

get your birds something that jingles, can swing, and can be destroyed. there very important things in a toy.once i just filled a cardboard box with bells hung it up and awaited its destruction. your bird should not be near electrical wires, sometimes a birds curiosity chew can go straight threw something on the first bite, let this happen and it could all be over in a matter of seconds.
