Conures: ANY information on ANY of these birds. (renamed)

Postby pionus » Tue Feb 12, 2013 12:38 pm

A note to the title. I changed it because I keep coming across such wonderful sub-species of conures (not just looks but all the important stuff like characteristics etc.) and thought it would be nice for all the people out there considering these birds to have info on them in one handy thread. so yeah, continue on....

Patagonian conures:
What are your thoughts on these birds? is there anyone on here that own/have owned one? I came across them by accident and started looking into them further, and wanted to hear some personal accounts of what these birds are like.

Thanks! :swaying:

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.

Ive never owned one but Ive been around 2.They were both similiar in there temperments. It definitely goes inside with what you read about them.I thought they were dolls, loved attention and wanted to be pet.Seemed to like everyone. Only downfall their call was quite loud[but other birds can be too] I would have one :D

Thanks Terri :D .

They are such beautiful birds, and from the bits and bobs (and you lovely input thx :) ) that i have learned they seem like really fun and social birds. I can already see it.....

I think the BWP might have some competition for when i move out and am ready to get a bird!

I know they are not in your country but a world of wings might be able to help you with information because I know they have these conures. Worth sending them an e-mail anyway.
