I don't remember who it was but I remember someone in this forum took his bird to the Vet and while in the waiting room the bird announced "Daddy poops".
From day 1 I told Myrtle to hold on. While I was bringing her home as we would turn a corner I would warn her to hold on. Now if I go into a room or the garage that she is not aloud in she will land on my shoulder and say "hold on?". She is asking if she holds on will I take her with me.
Call me crazy but I shower with my bird a couple times a week. when he gets out he always looks so ugly I told him he looked like a rat. Now when he is ready to get out of the shower he insults me. I didn't think that one through lol
Well, if you shower with cold water, it's fine but warm water is not good for their plumage, it strips the natural oils from the feathers and skin. Birds are not mammals and should not be treated as such.
My aunts cockatiels would do that. She had to tell people working on her house she was not harassing them ha ha. Neither Blu or Connor say anything funny but if Blu decides that the amount of food in his dish isnt acceptable he climbs to the top of his cage and does a single note whistle that is piercingly loud. He will yell "Budgie Bird" sometimes when he does this.
Rambo doesn't talk as much as he used to, probably because Myrtle never shuts up, though when he does we listen close and follow his instruction. Myrtle is 5 now and should be talking better than she is. She still ikes to baby babble but she gets her info and requests out like a child just learning to talk. And yes, Rambo tells her to shut up a lot.
Not my ladies, they get to talking and singing and in a very short time it becomes a who can do it the loudest, sometimes I wish I knew how to get them to just harmonize with each other rather going for volume.
