Sad Story

Postby Kathleen » Mon Mar 08, 2010 11:50 pm

Last year, some intoxicated man shot his wife's parrot with a BB gun and killed it while watching television because the parrot was squawking loudly. :(

This man is being indicted due to charges of animal cruelty. An unfortunate event that took place. Hopefully people can learn to deal with their parrot's annoying vocalizations through training or by simply ignoring them.

I don't know what is sadder the fact that a drunk guy shot his bird (it could have just as easally been a dog barking) because it was making to much noise. Or the totally hartless coments left by people. :(

It is sad. I'm not sure if "human style punishment" necessarily fits best here. I think being condemned to cleaning poop in zoo cages for ten years would do the trick (of course not with the animals in them, can't trust this guy!). Otherwise he can just take the jail time I guess. Except, when he's in the cage, someone should shoot him with a bb gun and see how he likes it.

Think of the poor wife's plight. Her bird of 20 years just killed by her stupid husband.
That'd be divorce grounds for me.

And when her husband goes to jail, she'll be all alone.

Maybe she will consider acquiring another parrot? At least this one wouldn't be at the mercy of her husband for a few years that he's in prison. :(

Perhaps this parrot should be allowed to roam the house and the husband live in a cage?

That's just awful... I can honestly say that if that happened in my home I'd be going to jail after what I'd do to my soon to be ex husband. That's so sad.
