My Nanday talks in a really quiet, girly voice. It's pretty cute.
Her vocabulary consists of:

Gimme kiss
Kiss
Hello
Goodbye
Poop! (lol)
Hi Shelby (in a whisper)
Come on! (when she's dancing)
Woo!

Mine says a few things, not real great talker yet, but you hear him under his breath all the time practicing. Some things I cannot make out yet, but I clearly hear a new word in past few days, sounds very much like "STUPID" which floored me because I don't say that. However, my 3 children say it all the time and even though he is with me, he hears them I guess. He does not love them at all yet.

He says What, oh baby, bad bird like the song bad boy whatcha gonna do when they come for you.

Sometimes I hear what sounds like what are you doing, and I ask him this all the time, so it is possible.

Kids say he is saying nothing, but he is. It definitely sounds like a word not a squawk or a tweet or something but something he is trying to articulate. He also yells at you. If say you tell him to not touch something and try to push it away from him, he will squawk at you like who the heck do you think you are. He likes to bite the scroll thing on my mouse to my computer, so I am always taking him away from it and he squawks and goes right back to it over and over until I redirect to something else. I wear headphnes for work and he likes to climb up to the top of my head and sit on the headphone band and bite it. Needless to say, I take him down immediately, as I do not want bird poop on my head.

Such a huge personality for such a little bird. I had to go out other day, which I do not do that often, and I missed him. I could not wait to get home to see what he had done all day and make sure he was okay. I wish I could take him out when I have to go out. I need therapy, LOL.

P.s. He is really a she, I just cannot break the habit of calling her a him, but I do that with all my animals.

My amazon used to talk the most but lately she has quieted down some. Here is what he can say (when he wants to):
Tyler (his name)
I thought I saw a putty cat, I did I did.
Here kitty kitty kitty
I'm a chicken hawk and your a chicken
Gimmie a kiss..Muah
Hello
Ma
Pretty bird
I'm a bird
Good boy
and more but I can't remember!

My greenwing says:
Captain Morgan (Sounded like this Capitann Mogan, and English accent lol)
Top of the mornin' to ya
Tyler
Come on girl (calling the dog)
Maaaaa
Wasssup!
Hello (on command)
Gimmie a kiss...Muah!
and a whole lot of screaming!!!!!

The smaller birds (senegal, and meyers)
Mostly sounds, like the drill. Me scraping the dishes into the garbage, whistles, hello, smoke alarm beeping. They all have very quiet voices but I know what they are saying.

How do I post videos as I have some of my macaw talking???

Having a house full of amazons i'm kind of immune to talking birds , however you have to be there when they start the laughing thing, most all of them have learned to laugh from previous owners so they laugh differently and i don't think that there's anybody who could keep a straight face when they all let loose.

I bet that's something to hear! I love it when birds laugh... it's always funny!

It must be that every parrot owner who has ever seen "Cops" has sung the "Bad Bird" song to their parrots, proving that great minds think alike :)

When I sing it to Charlie, she struts! She likes being sung to in general, but has a special attitude when it comes to this song.

I have read that lovebirds don't talk but mine is talking up a storm. He says pretty bird, barks like my dog, wolf whistles says come ere ( come here) and Hello. I have heard him mumble some sounds that sound like talking but you can't hear the words clearly. I was truly shocked because I did not think he would talk at all. I am currently teaching him to say good morning. He really likes to talk because he only chirps until he sees me and then he starts talking. :swaying:

My most vocal is Arthur, my Jardines, but he's more of a sound effects machine. He says "good boy" a lot. For his noises:

Microwave beep
smoke detector dead battery beep (which I hate)
wolf whistle
various other whistle combinations

My fave one he does is when he's out with me and wants to go back to his cage he will make the squeak noise the door on his cagd makes when you open it. :) he picked one up recently and we have from no idea where (perhaps a ghost?) where he does the evil "mua ha ha ha ha" laugh in a deep, creepy voice.

Pickle, our Hahns says

good boy
hello
bu-bye
goodbye
peek a boo
Pick-elllllllll (his name drawn out)
pick pick pick pick (his name again)
cookie!
mmMMmmmmm
and he makes this cute little cartoon eating sound when he sees food.

Our other Hahns, Ecko, says

step up
I want a kiss and makes kissy noises
mmMMMmmmmm

Merlyn our Catalina macaw says
Hi bird
How bout a kiss
Wants some treats?
MMmmmMmm
and he also barks like a dog
(and screams like a little girl when he's frightened, LOL)

My harlequin, Sebastian has a great vocabulary that is growing. He says

Hi!
Hi big boy
What's that?
Who's that?
Whats down there?
Come here!
Stop!
Brat! (can see how he learned those last few, LOL)
Maaaaaah! (As in screaming for mom)
MMMmmmmm, that's good!
Want some? (he says this before he regurges, LOL)

He also laughs himself hysterical, so much so that he ends with "Oh my god, thats so funny!" which makes us laugh...which makes him start over, injecting "Oh my god" between his laughter.
makes kissing and popping sounds and recently learned how to belch and fart :?
He also sneezes and coughs like a 20 pack smoker on occassion
