Trying to talk?

My Senegal Parrot, Tiki, is trying to talk. Her words aren't clear, though. She uses a itty-bitty voice and said "Love you" tonight but it wasn't clear.

I think it's cute and I want to encourage it more. Will her vocalizations get clearer? She is only five months old.

She will also do a lot of baby talk for a while. Myrtle's words are clean but she still baby talks (sounds like she is talking but in another language). Myrtle is 2.

She said "Hi" today, which was really cute. But as you say, most of her talk is baby talk!

Myrtle is so adorable. What kind of babbling or talking does she like to do?

She says a lot of words, most that she picked up from Rambo. She knows the meaning of some and uses them in conversation. When she runs out of what she knows to say she will add the baby babble which sounds like words in another language.

From day one I tried to teach her "Hey baby - what's up". She yells "what up" when she comes into a room. I thought she was just copying my words. When I called her yesterday she flew into the room and yelled "what".

I love it. She IS starting to understand and use more words. But the baby babble is adorable.
Oh and she also back talks. If I tell her no and she disagrees she will use a different language that I do not know. I guess that is the Myrtle nasty talk.

Buahaha I love it - Myrtle saying "What?" So cute!

It's hilarious how birds can have attitude, such as when Myrtle babbles the baby-talk. Tiki sometimes shows a bit of attitude, too, when she doesn't get her way! Birds are awesome.

Myrtle's first languageof baby babble is sweet and soft. That second language sounds more like a potty mouth. Something that I don't want to know what she is saying.

my senegal "Baby" has a little gravely voice unless she thinks i am ignoring her , then she screams "PRETTY BABY!"
WHO"S PRETTY?
GOOD BABY! etc. she is a great bird.
