a good way to start teaching vocalizations

i want my sennie to start talking :senegal: but she says hello loco when i say it but how do i make her say it clearerabd how do i teach her more words, not on cue but just out of her own :D

How cute! I used the same words over and over when handling my sennie.

Repeat words when you greet your sennie, when handling, and at bedtime. Your bird's vocalizations will get clearer over time. Sometime's Tiki's words are very clear and other times not so much.

I agree with the above poster... Repetion has been key in my expirience. Use the same words or phrases, at the same time of day, in the same tone & eventually if they WANT to talk, they'll get it right. Birds are like kids in the respect that when they first begin speaking the pronunciation wont be perfect. Clear, precise vocal imitation only comes to them with practice & patient persistent owners! Good luck! Sounds like you are doing everything right to me.
