That's cool :) Nice to see them able to properly stretch their wings...

Is Cocoa free flying or have you attached an extension to the harness?

The harness is attached to a very long line. It is too dangerous for her to free flight. There were a couple of times she flew off course, spooked by crows and followed a passing by mynah.

You're not worried about the parrot getting tangled around something with such a long line? How long is it BTW?

I got a harness and was thinking of doing the same but not so long!

Just waiting for the weather to improve so she links harness with going outside and having fun

Going out and having fun is not necessarily enough. In fact the parrot could get scared outside and become fearful of the harness. So be very careful about how you do it and don't do too long of a duration for starters. You may think going outside should be a treat for the parrot, but a parrot that has never been outside may not even like it.

Michael is right about it. It took me months for Cocoa to go outdoor walk for long duration.
And it took a year for her to fly that far.

The line is about 80-90 ft long. The line is attached to a fork like metal piece where I shaft it in the ground to make about 150 ft. The are 2 small trees along her flight path. The line got tangled a couple of times. It's not a problem because the trees are very short. I have increased the length of the line now and leave some allowance should Cocoa decides to do some maneuvers.

This video was taken yesterday morning. This her record flight, about 150ft.
