Taught Flighted Retrieve Trick

After working on this trick for several weeks and posting updates, I think I can now say that Kili really does know flighted retrieve in full. I think I can now say with full confidence that parrots put dogs to shame because they can do all of their tricks but better



Really convenient when you get old, can have your parrot fly down to pick up your keys for you rather than bend over.

This video was all shot in one training session and you can see how she progresses in learning the trick. She learned the foundations for it previously but being all out focused on it for the first time. Getting her to fly to the floor from a perch rather than from my hand is a lot trickier because she has to do it 100% from her own freewill, can't just nudge her a little to get her to go!

Wow! very nice job! consistent and clean result - congratulations.

As I can seen now almost all the feathers are there (maybe one or two still to g(r)o(w)? As she gets more lift she also gains more confidence.

And they really do dwarf dogs in their skills
