Free fligth

Postby mcamedjay » Wed Jul 07, 2010 10:41 pm

Hello everybody, I have a senegal parrot male, and him practice the free fligth, began a year ago.
To begin the train, the first, we need the recall indor, and training all the posicion, to make use all skill them have for fligth, in the next video, its the example of one posicion, I think that's the skill most important to learn for the free fligth, is go down, initally the baby bird, have scare, and on outdoor is fatal. sorry the bad quality.

When you have a good practice recall indoor, you can try to make the first fre fligth outdoor, only 1/2 time, not insist more, only the next day again, and only short distance, and need to select a quiet place and without noise.

When you are more confident, you with a friend/brother/sister, can practice greater distance, in the next video, you see a little girl, is my little niece, and the camera man is the other niece, she have only 8 years old, so sorry about the bad video, but the point, because of them, the senegal could flight far away, my lucky, its the good training of the recall indoor.

More later, when you have total confident on your parrot, you can leave your parrot take the choice when him whant fly. It's just me and the parrot in front on my house and the neighbors.

In the summer I whant to training my blue-front amazon, she have now 1 year, only practice outdoor recall rarely time, because I don't have much time, I'm at university.

I hope you like, and please don't try this without a good previous training at home, I don't use the aviator harness or similar on firsts recalls outdoors.

Warm regards
