Recall training

Postby mrgoogls » Thu Nov 21, 2013 4:32 pm

Hi all. i recently let my Quaker's flight feathers grow out. there are still maybe 2 per wing that are clipped than haven't molted yet. he is getting pretty good at flying so far. He is doing good with the "go to perch" command. he doesn't need much encouragement. what i need help with is recalling. He will recall from person to person(i have been having my brother help) but will not take off from a perch. how can i transition him to the perch? i have tried luring and target training(he is target trained but wont fly to get the target, just walk.)
