My Zoey was doing the same thing. She would spend the entire day without any food because she refused to go into her cage and would fly away from me when she would see me walking toward her (she is a smart cookie and knew I wanted to put her in ) but, even though it took a couple of days and a couple of hours of 'work' to convince her to trust me (you can't insist, you have to let them go, wait about ten minutes, try again and fail, wait another ten minutes, try again, etc), she is now fine (she went into her cage all of her own last night and the night before).
