canure flying

Hi Every one. I am new to this forum. How long it takes a clipped conure to fly?

Welcome to the forum.

A clipped bird will still try to fly. Put it on the floor so it won't get hurt and let it flap. That will build up it's flight muscles. It will have to have it's full flight feathers back before it can really fly.

Rambo is a pedestrian. He did not have flight feathers when I go him and they never grew. He s 20. He can still flap enough to do a controlled crash off the top of his cage.

Myrtle was trimmed when I got her but could still fly ot from her cage before loosing altitude. I don't remember how long it took for her but now she can navigate the whole house.

Thanks for the reply. So it means he will never grow his flying feathers? How about taking him to a vet to pluck his clipped feathers?

Your bird will grow flight feathers and fly. My Rambo cannot. I think someone was really cruel to Rambo and had his removed. Rambo doesn't get the pleasure of flying like Myrtle does.
