Wolf is correct, the only way to teach a bird not to bite is to never give it the opportunity to do it and that means learning what he likes and what he doesn't so, in reality, it's not so much that the bird 'learns' not to bite but that the human 'learns' what makes the bird bite and avoids it.

What the bird does learn from this is that it does not always have to resort to biting to be heard.
