Work on taming and basic training first. Walk before you run.

lol ,I guess I should have worded this better.

O.k ,so Zypher is tame ,he comes when called ,will spin ,wave and raise his wings on cue (I tought him myself) and loves being scratched under the wings and on the head/neck.

He is by all means tame and knows that a clicker means he did a proper behavior.

The trouble is before I bough Zypher he almost never had anyone touch his back ,let alone flip him over or hold him on his back. It took over a month just to let me pet him on the back with out him snapping. Like wize his wings have been trimed from the day the first feathers finished growing ,so its going to be fun once he starts to learn he can fly ...but thats unrelated...

Well start by getting the parrot to be comfortable to be on its back. You should start by holding the bird and rolling it on its back while you hold it. This should eventually develop where you can lay it down on a surface laying on its back. The play dead trick is just filling in the rolling behavior on cue automatically. The important basis is that the parrot is tame and feels comfortable laying on its back.
