I definitely would like to do that too. But you know what I think, this can be quite useful for shaping a flight routine. Once the bird learns that it has to fly through hoops, no matter how many you add it is simple. But this could be used to teach a flight routine I think. Let's say you take 3 or 5 hoops and stand them in a circle to go away and back to you. This could be used to teach out/return flights to your bird. Or what might be more interesting still is to set them up in a figure eight. Teach the bird to fly the figure eight pattern through rings, use a cue, slowly reduce number of hoops to none and have a bird that knows an actual flight routine. To make an even greater impact, have it be a 3 dimensional figure 8 where it dives down then turns around and goes up in an elliptical figure 8 that not only goes out and back but also up and down! What other creature could possibly do this!?

may sound a bit silly but in craft shops they sell sewing rings. which are hoops that the sewing canvas is stretched over. they do different sizes of them. might work :senegal:

We teach fun trick to my bird is to play ring toss. Most birds naturally throw things around, so all you need to do is reinforce this behavior. Encourage him to throw the rings without aiming at a target at first. After he becomes accustomed to tossing the rings, you can begin working with him to toss the rings onto a short dowel screwed onto a base in an upside down 'T' shape.

I taught Lily :quaker: to shake.
It took all of 3 minutes.
I just reinforced it with treats and praise!
