If you're using food treats to train him then it's fairly easy to teach him to Somersault. Just hold the treat a little low and out of range while he's on a perch; eventually he'll flip upside down, and flap to recover (or you can help him swivel back up). With rewards for each increment he'll quickly learn what you want him to do. Targeted-clicker training would work the same way and might speed things up. This is my GCC's favorite trick which he always uses first when he wants a treat.
