technique for switching up tricks?

Postby Wayne361 » Mon May 28, 2012 10:24 am

I have been teaching Oscar :senegal: new tricks, which he is picking up surprisingly fast. He is target trained, turns around, waves and shakes. Thanks Micheal for all the info on your blogs etc. The question i have arises from when i switch from say waving to shaking. Oscar will sometimes get confused and have his foot in the air (waving) while shaking his head. He is clearly confused at this point and wants reward (which I wont give/reinforce). At this point I turn away and start when only cued behaviour is displayed. Seems he has a hard time transitioning from one cued trick to the next. Any tips?

Thanks,

Wayne
