bringing food back up

Sorry but I can't spell reguating ie bringing food back up if biggles my macaw is sitting anywhere on his own or in a dark corner on the sofa behind a cushion on the sofa he brings his food back up he might eat it again or just leave it and when he eats something he really likes he starts head banging which looks like he's trying to bring food back up any ideas anyone

It could be hormone related but hasn't he just had a implant/drugs for that?

Some birds will just do it sometimes but if its a frequent thing you need to try to reduce it, it isn't good for the bird to constantly have stomach acids brought up into the crop on a regular basis, obviously it is a natural thing to feed mates/chicks but birds are only designed for so much you know what I mean.

Is biggles still on meds? I suppose that could be making the behaviour worse if they aren't agreeing with him.

Yes he had the implant his medication he has just finished I have started to notice a lot of fluffy grey feathers and the odd blue and yellow ones aswell in the bottom of his cage
