Parrot IDentification

Postby Poifect » Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:39 pm

Hello Everyone,

Need help identifying this baby parrot! My aunt brought it all the way from Texas (its siblings passed away on the trip). She said it was given to her by a farmer. I'd really like to help her take care of it since she refuses to go to a vet. But I need someone to ID it first.

Thanks

she really should find an avian vet. you could find a breeder or rescue could maybe help tell you what you need to do to care for a baby.

At this point it seems impossible to tell. Has your aunt had experience raising birds? If not, she should take it to the vet to at least be taught how to do so as well as find out what species it is. If she refuses to take proper steps to learn everything about how to raise it, it's likely it'll end up dying.

Definitely needs a vet asap and for her to be shown what to do.
There is a high risk of killing the bird by inexperience I'm afraid.

Hope its ok and keep us updated
