OK, so we are moving end of June to a new house. Not far, in the same city just a different house. So I was just wondering whether anyone has got some advice for me regarding this. As I know moving birds to a new environment always are stressful to them.
I am planning on moving her in her regular cage. Just putting her as is in the car and drive her to the new house. Would this be OK, or should I rather not do this?
I also heard that it is best taking them last so that they don't spend so much time alone in the new environment.. Is this really better? Since I believe there is going to be even more commotion in the old house than in the new one. (We are moving over a period of two days) And the old house needs to be cleaned.. Carpets etc.
Also arriving at the new house, should I leave her alone as I had to when first bringing her home as to give her time to get used to her new environment, or can I continue regular interaction?
Thank you!
