Parrotlet chirping before/during naps

So we've had Mia a few days now and I've noticed that she's chirping loads just before and during napping. She also does it occassionally during eating to! Is this normal behaviour for a parrotlet?

She also makes the chirps in her throat and doesn't move her beak while she was doing this. I know its not squeaky breathing its a definite chirp!

I don't know, I've never had plets but budgies do the same thing so I am thinking it's just a form of communication or maybe like a cat purring to himself for comfort and reassurance.
