time of year for green cheek conure molting?

My green cheek is showing the tell take signs of molting: a head full of pin feathersn a skittish "leave me alone" kind of attitude, and itching a lot. My question is, does anyone know the time of year that conures tend to molt? He had his first molt last year but I can't for the life of me remember when it was.

It's always this time of the year, at the end of the summer and after the breeding season, but it has been coming earlier and earlier every year thanks to global warming.
