Acrylic paint Help?

Postby Lbonita » Sun Sep 22, 2013 2:50 pm

My son had a school project he had paint, while it was drying our Senegal parrot was out and got spooked somehow and landed on the wet paint. He has a bit of paint on the inside of his beak and a trace amount on his tongue. My son painted it with acrylic hobby paint. It says it is non toxic... should I be worried about the trace amount on him?

If it's only a trace and non-toxic, it should be OK.

I agree with Pajarita... if it says non-toxic I wouldn't worry too much. I watercolor and my sennie got into my palette once while I was painting -- thankfully it was the cheap, non-toxic vermilion and not the more expensive paints with potentially toxic ingredients, e.g., cadmium red. I wiped her beak good but ultimately she was fine, if not a little cranky. :)
