Death Shreek- must read!

About a month ago I found three small brown finch like baby birds outside near my house, one was breathing heavily and looked like it had been hurt or attacked by something, another moved away and disappeared into a nearby hedge and the third just sat there next to it's dying sibling, people always say leave baby birds alone, so that's what I did.

I came back to look at them 10 minutes later, the hurt one was dead, there was no sign of the one that had gone into the hedge and the third was still sat there, there's 'alot' of cats in my neighbourhood and -long story short- I ended up taking the little bird in and feeding it.

It was already feathered and looked like it should be able to fly quite soon, I kept it in a see through clean plastic fish tank, filled with grass and leaves. It lived for about three to four days and became unbelivably tame, climbing on to my hand when I put it in the box, perching on my finger when I fed it.

I kept it away from my Sennies (who never had any actual contact with it), the little bird seemed to be fine until halfway through the third or fourth day, when I walked over to the box and saw the little bird slumped against a corner of the box.

I took it out and tried to get it to perch on my finger, it was too weak and just kept breathing heavily. I took it into the room where my Sennies were, to show my friend who suggested maybe the bird was too warm.

Our backs were to the Sennie's cage as we tried hopelessly to cool down and keep the little bird awake, after five to ten minutes the little bird gave up and it's chest moved as it breathed out it's last breathe.

No word of a lie, the milisecond that bird let out it's last breath, my parrots started screaming, they did so for about 30 seconds and then just stopped, they couldn't of seen what was going on, our backs were to them. After the event had passed for a while, I asked my friend if she also thought the incident was strange and she agreed, it made no sense, and if it didn't somehow link to the death of the little bird then it was one hell of a fluke.
