I am a new owner of a Jardine's parrot, and made plans for vacation in April (1 wk). Unfortunately I can't take him with me. Was wondering which is best for the bird, 1. Have someone come in 2 or three times a day, or 2. Take him to someone to look after him.

Look into your local Avian Vet for bird boarding. Or, do you have a family member who can care for your bird?

There may be professional exotic bird pet sitters in your area, as well. Try Googling your area and "parrot pet sitter"

It is at best not a good place to be. Do you have someone that you trust and the bird likes that could take him in for the time you will be gone?
