Eclectus alwys stays in perch

My eclectus 4 months old male, alwys stay in its perch. ( bought from someone a week ago) and if i take it forcefully , it will fly off. And refuse to come to my hand.

At four months, he is still a baby so there must be a reason why he doesn't want to go to you because, usually, babies are very accommodating and love to be with people. He's still weaning, right? Do you offer two or three different kinds of soft food daily as well as some handfeeding? Are you weighing him on a daily basis to make sure he is not losing weight? The reason I ask is because a flighted bird that stays on a perch all the time is usually sick...
