Can you put them in a carrier and take them with you?

Some people have success with giving their birds special treats when they leave to distract them from feeling abandoned.

You can try training them to be left by leaving and coming back a few minutes later, so they don't think you'll be gone all day every time you step out. Especially if you give them a treat every time you leave.

Be aware that a lot of birds (like mine) cry when you leave :violin: , even if they won't be alone. My adult kids are home almost all the time, but Corsair is upset when I even leave the room, and expects anyone coming in to pay homage to her  before they do anything else--she doesn't always get it, but she always wants it. I have checked, though, and the only time she keeps screaming is when dinner is late.

They may find a recording of your voice more interesting than the radio. Or they may be happier with a different station.

You can try putting up a webcam to see if they are really distraught or are putting on a show for you like some toddlers do.

Worst case, if they really can't stand having each other for company instead of you, you may have to consider rehoming them with someone who can be there all the time.

You can give your bird foraging toys, various wooden toys and maybe leave a radio on when you leave. Put on a 120 minute tape in tape recorder to record your birds sounds when you leave. You could leave and drive a short way down the street and walk back so that you can hear your bird if it is screaming but it can't see you or hear you. It is normal for the bird to call for you when you leave but it probably quiets down shortly after you leave and if it does quiet down then no problem. If it keeps screaming then you will have to try something else. Don't try to trick your bird by faking your leaving as it will know the difference, you must actually leave. You may have to consider getting a companion bird for your bird to keep it company when you are out.

Also please consider turning your capitals off as typing in all capital letters is considered to be the same as yelling.

Leave on a radio, and make sure your birds have plenty of foraging toys. Stuff kale in toys, and leave some veggies to tear and shred. Also, tell them when you're leaving. Say, "Goodbye, I will be home soon." I do this with Chance and she says "Goodbye" back along with some high-pitched calls. Your birds are calling out to you because you're part of the flock and they call to locate you so I think they get worried you're leaving for a bit... but they'll get used to it once you keep telling them "I'll be back."

Housing has a lot to do with whether they are completely unhappy or resign themselves to your leaving. Can you fit a room for them so they don't have to stay in cages? Because I have found that leaving a bird cage-free in a room makes a big difference with birds that don't like been alone...

It should be a room where nothing but their cages, tree branches (non-poisonous, of course!) for perches, ropes, swings, etc would be. It should have windows and a good light on the ceiling (full spectrum, if possible). Make sure they can't chew on the windows or their screens and that there isn't anything dangerous in it (like electrical wires, a ceiling fan, etc).
