My Severe Macaw Joshua keeps on trying to attack my mother every chance he gets. When he is with me Josh acts very kind and sweet, cuddling and generally behaving himself, but right when he sees my mom he puffs up and flies to attack her or if she is near he lunges and snaps his beak in her direction. In the past this has never happened before, my mom has never hurt him in anyway, she used to feed and takes care of Josh when I was busy now she she can't for he is constantly attempting to hurt her. After each Attack i place him back in the cage trying to teach him that if he continues with this behavior he wont get any playtime. It hasn't worked so far.

Like any mother and daughter we sometimes get into fights, Would this have any influence on his attacking?
Please answer if you know anyway of stopping this poor behavior any information is greatly appreciated, thank you.
