How does your bird dance?

Postby KimberlyAnn » Thu May 22, 2014 12:57 am

Emmi started dancing with bobbing her head, then the side to side thing...the last four months it's been this marching thing in-between all that. She pushes her wings tight together until they cross and marches to the beat with her head high. It makes her look like a chicken at best, and like a person pacing over a very difficult decision at worst. It always makes people stop singing and clapping for her because...what the heck is that? LOL She will then stop and make her own beat with kissy sounds or her name and start marching again. It only happens when she really gets into a song and she will do it in circles, lines, and figure eights. But it is to a beat and I guess it's dancing? To each their own!

Arrrghh we need a video lol, tell her to stop being so camera shy :)

None of mine dance as such really, George used to bob his head up and down whilst yelling "boogie" though. Ollie will occasionally move his head up and down very unenthusiastically if a good song comes on, he prefers to chatter and do quiet little screeches along to music though.

The dancing birds in my house are the senegals, when they are happy, they puff up and separate their wings from their bodies curving them a bit and go round and round and round... it's the cutest thing!

Omg I want to see that Pajarita! That sounds so cute!

I don't know what it is about the phones that make her stop and freeze! So frustrating! I've gotten a little dance from her, but I had to snap. I will try again this weekend. She's been dancing in our bathroom mirror a lot when we put her on the towel rack perch. She fans her tail and everything...I will catch her!
