i have been thinking about the stove for a while, and don't have the best soluti0n yet. at least nt withut major cnstruction. its my biggest problem because she is fascinated with what goes on in that kitchen.

the current working idea is to create a flexible screen out of thick fabric mesh and grommets, that you pull down over the stove while it is hot. it would have to be taught, so it would stop her before she was close enough to the heat and she could see it and land on it. its only a working idea now because then there is the potentia problem that the bird could get caught in the mesh and injure a foot or wing... so i would have to try it out and do some research. but clearly there has to be sme sort of barrier in pllace. somewhere.

Glad to have you on the forums!

The only solution to avoid kitchen dangers is to NEVER have the bird out while cooking or preparing food.

You can have a wall built to separate the kitchen and to preserve the open feeling install double dutch doors.
