I've heard of birds getting impacted or occluded by threads of materials, bedding and even grit but I've never heard of parrots dying because of wood splinters although I would assume it could happen. All my larger species chew wood. It's what they like to do best. But I don't think any of them swallows it - at least, I've never seen one doing it or found anything in their poop.

It is important, though, to make sure the wood is completely untreated and non-toxic and, if colored, that safe dyes were used in the process.

Please don't embellish things in this manner.
Yes, there is some risk of a parrot ingesting wood and thus splinters, and it is a very good idea to watch your bird when it plays, and usually destroys its wooden toys to see if it is eating the wood or if it is just chewing it up and spiting it out. If it is ingesting the wood, it is a good idea to remove that item, it could have been flavored, especially if it had been dyed. I think that you will find that if your bird is eating the wood and it has not been treated and is just normal bird safe plain, undyed wood that the bird is likely hungry or has a vitamin deficiency. and if that is the case you need to correct that and see what happens.
Wood is considered to be the most natural and safest of toys that you can supply for your birds.

I doubt humans can eat large portions of wood and be fine. And birds have a much more sensitive anatomy. Wood is FINE if all the birds do is chew it. But if they INGEST it, I guarantee yout there can be many issues. This can be very serious. I will be back on a pc soon. So I can try to find a link to the necropsy then.

I personally have heard of a lot of deaths from swallowing wood. My AV tells me it is dangerous too. I'm sorry for presenting this in a manner you don't like. but I worry about this bird

It is not a matter of presenting it in a manner that I do or do not like. If you tell me that this is showing up in the autopsies of birds, then there is a record of it and I am just asking for this documentation. I am not saying that it is true or untrue, I am simply asking for the documentation.

Thanks guys, but I really think he swallows it, I dont wanna take amy risks. But I think he loves chewing wood, because he tried doing the same thing on my wooden table. I gave him a hard rocken stick to chew on. Any other info I could get on this will be very useful. Thankyou.

Very good. This shows that it can happen, especially when the wood is dyed and flavored. I also visit that forum and it is one unfortunate case reported to the forum by the owner, who also said that this was a baby that was just shipped to her and the breeder is replacing the bird if she wants him to. This by her account was also the birds first contact with wood, more precisely flavored wood.
No one has said that it couldn't occur but you claim to know of a lot of these cases and I am still looking for the documentation of this occurring a lot as you stated in your first post.

Gmv is right in that sometimes a bird could swallow a piece of wood that could injure it. I have yet to see any evidence that it occurs more than as an occasional accident in special circumstances. Regardless of how often or what the circumstances are, it can happen.
If you think that your bird is eating the wood, you may want to talk to your avian vet and see if they think that you need to bring your bird in, it is always better to be safe. Also take the wood away and find something else for him to chew on. It could even be as simple as a harder piece of wood, or even paper my birds love paper.

I heard a lot about it from the pet stores.
Anyway, ill give you guys that it is rare for a bird to actually swallow the wood, but when one actually DOES, it is not rare for the wood to harm the bird. the reason there is not a lot of cases are out there is not because swallowed wood rarely harms the birds, it is because not a lot of birds do not actually ingest wood in the first place.
