Postby Rujvir_G » Wed Aug 20, 2014 3:44 pm

It sounds like he is sick. I'd take him to an AV asap.

In the meantime keep him warm. A covered heating pad at the bottom of the cage is one way.

The only time a bird sneezing is OK is when it is imitating a person. And they don't fluff up when they do that.

How do they imitiate a person? Because he could be just doing that, he didn't fluff his feathers just while sneezing but he fluffs them quite often, is that bad? Ive been noticing his poop is watery and he is making little noises like smeezing, what could he the problem?

Corsair did a bad sneeze imitation-it was just a horrible sound that lasted about as long as a sneeze. I started saying "bless you" when she made it, and she now makes some sounds like "eh-oo" when someone else sneezes, so we know that's what it was.

"Chiki" sounds like a bird sneeze. Unless you have somebody around that makes that sound a lot, Ollie's probably sick.

If you have been weighing him, you check to see if he suddenly got 10% lighter-a bad sign.

Watery poop doesn't mean much unless there is no dark thready part at all.

If someone in your home sneezes a lot, then it is possible that this is imitation. When he fluffs, is it just a short rearrange the feathers type of fluff or does he remain fluffed and for how long?
When in doubt it is always best to see the vet.

I booked appointment with the vet on Monday. And Wolf he fluffs his feathers alot of times a day, sometimes he sits fluffy for like 10 mins I guess! He gets fluffy most of the times when he itches himself. Ive heard parrots get fluffy if they have a respiratory problem, is this normal ?

It doesn't sound to me as if the fluffing is due to illness. I also would not wait for 5 days to get my bird in to see the vet, if I were concerned that he might be sick, because if he is sick he could be gone by then. They are small and have extremely high metabolisms and they hide illness. This means that by the time you see any sign of the illness they are extremely ill.

and sometimes the cure can be a simple antibiotic. A simple drug that will determine life or death.
