Terrible twos??

Postby GreenCheekGodric » Sun Sep 07, 2014 10:28 pm

I also posted this in a different topic listing but I figured it couldn't hurt to post in here as well. I have a green cheek conure which I absolutely adore. He will be 2 1/2 on October 24. When Godric was younger he loved to be held and would climb up my leg if I refused to pick him up. About a year ago, however, he stopped wanting to be held. If I put him on my shoulder or give him even a seconds chance he will fly out of my hands and into his cage. He does seem to want me around, though. If I leave the room he will scream and flap his wings and cause a scene, and when I'm around he happily sits ontop of his cage. I have read a dozen posts that seem to tell me to hall it up to the terrible twos but it really does hurt my feelings, especially since he and I just moved out of my parents' house and he is my only "room mate" in a studio apartment.

What do you guys think?

I already answered in the other topic. You will get the same answers here that you would in the other post. The only difference will be which one they see first.
