Postby Rujvir_G » Sat Oct 25, 2014 4:32 pm

Guys, ive been watching olly from a month now, he closes one eye very often, like its irritating him, because ive seen him scratching his eye, sometimes he closes it gets fluffy and just rest, this isnt a serious problem right? I will be consulting the vet, just wanted to know if you guys could tell me something about it.

Well, it's impossible to tell what's wrong without examining the eye carefully so a vet visit is the only thing that I would recommend.

I am not convinced that parrots get allergies. There is actually no proof they do and the two avian vets I respect the most both told me that vets use the diagnosis as default when they don't know what is wrong. But they do react to irritants, same as any other animal.
