Great news! Just don't get all excited and start moving too fast. Do this a few more times so that she gets used to it before you go further. Always take your time and let the bird set the pace.

Ok, I think I'll just repeat this every day until she's completely used to it. She barely even stayed out of her cage for a minute to eat some seeds. The weird thing is, she still hasn't tried any millet! Is it possible that she doesn't like it? She only eats her regular seed food :?

It is more likely that she has never had it before and therefore doesn't know that it is food. Parrots must be taught how to eat and drink as well as what to eat. They are not hatched knowing any of these things. Try mixing a little bit of it into her seed mix. Millet is also not the only thing that will work as a treat. To find out what her favorite food is try making little piles of the foods that she gets on a paper plate and watch to see which ones that she eats first, these will be her favorite ones. Take the first one and reserve it for treats if possible.

Ok, thanks. She seems to be an extremely picky eater. Maybe I could take away her normal food and replace it with some millet, veggies, etc for a few hours every now and then? Then maybe she would at least try different foods.

I don't think that that would be a good idea as millet doesn't have enough nutritional value in it. It is one reason that it makes a good treat for them. It is not important for her to like millet as it is easy to find something better for them . Try and see if she likes the thick part of a leaf lettuce, that would also make a good treat for her.

I just figured it out! Millet is one of the ingredients in her seed food, and it's the small seed which is the only thing she eats that I was talking about  it's white millet so I didn't recognize it when I compared it to the kind that is still on the stick. Right now I'm picking out the larger seeds and pellets from the millet so she doesn't get a millet-overdose :? what brand of seed food would you recommend getting which doesn't include millet?

That, I am afraid I can't answer because I think that all of the commercial mixes contain millet. At least all of the ones that I know of do. With the low nutritional value of millet I don't think that they can get an overdose of it. I also don't think that her just picking out the millet to eat is good either.
If you are willing to change her diet, I do have an idea which will give her a healthy diet as well as solve her picking out only the millet to eat, but it will require you to be more active in her feeding especially until she has been successfully switched over to the new diet.

Ok, I'm listening... For now, I separated most of the millet from her food so she won't be able to have an all-millet diet.

You could feed your bird a cooked food that we call gloop for breakfast along with a fresh vegetable or two, and then a small amou6nt of her seed mix for dinner. That is what I feed all of my birds and it is what Pajarita feeds her birds. I can tell you how to make a quick easy version of it and everything you need to make it can be bought from your supermarket. There would never be a need to change her diet as I don't think that you could find a healthier diet for her.
