Well, his plumage is definitely getting better. His entire belly and half his chest are now all covered in good plumage. He still has the upper chest with holes as well as 'moth eaten' spots on his back but he is not plucking at all - at least, for what I can tell. He is also not as obsessed with Zoey as he was and Zoey has become not exactly friendlier to him but more accepting.

He continues to amaze me with his intelligence and cognitive speech! I have this dog (the one I mentioned on another thread that has severe behavioral issues from him been crated the wrong way when he was a pup) which is VERY distrustful of anything a human offers and which I have to call repeatedly for him to come closer to take his breakfast (I feed my dogs only canned food for breakfast and always from a spoon and taking turns -I do this because, as I always have dogs that need medication, this way they don't suspect anything when I put the pill in the food). Now, I ALWAYS say: "Chicho! Here Chicho!" and, this morning, I am calling him as always and I hear Sweetpea going: "Chicho, Chicho, come on, come on, eat it!" He did not only understand what I was trying to do (he could see me and the dogs through the kitchen opening) but he put his own spin on the phrase! He has always used the 'Come on' both for other birds and for the dogs (he says it at night when I take the dogs up to my bedroom for the night) and the 'Eat it' for himself and other birds (I think he thinks that 'Eat it' means food, in general) but he had never put them both together this way or use the 'Eat it!' with the dogs. I tell you, this birds is a genius!
