HELP Toe Tapping Eclectus

Postby Jared1111 » Wed Mar 10, 2010 6:24 pm

Hello.

If anyone could help it would be really appreciated. I have an 8 year old female eclectus. She has never had any problems. Last night I gave her some orange juice(the first time ever since I had her) today she is tapping her toes and gripping the cage on and off. I think she is suffering from a vitamin overdose. Can anyone advise me what to do here? Im really worried. Thanks.

I would start with a trip to the vet asap.

I would think natural fruit juice would be okay in a very small amount (and maybe diluted with water as well). Maybe if the bird had a vitamin supplement and then the orange juice, it would be a vitamin overdose

I agree, take it to the vet. Please let us know how it goes and if your bird is okay. :(
