Excellent! I am so happy that the has decided that it was time for a bath and that he let you know how he preferred to bathe. Mine mostly let me figure it out, but did let me know that they were ready for a bath. The shower is a wonderful way for them to get a bath, but yes, the temperature is something of an issue as water that is too warm strips too much of the natural oils from his skin. It is best to let him shower in water that is no warmer than room temperature or cooler. Thank you very much for asking about this and giving us the opportunity to be a part of your lives.

no, i thank you for being on this forum and caring enough to share your wisdom :) if it weren't for you and pajarita, i would have a much less happy parrot on my hands. Perhaps now that he has seen me enjoy a shower and wants to join me, i can begin to encourage him to bathe on his own :)
