Hide or protect all electrical cords, look at the bottom of your furniture such as sofas and stuffed chairs and recliners to make certain that the bird cant crawl up into them. Can't tell you how many birds have died from being crushed when someone sits down on these items. Look for any place high or low that the bird can get into and perhaps get stuck in such as behind furniture or in air or heat vents. Make certain that their are no open containers of water that they can get to, toilets are a big danger. Birds like to hide so eliminate any possible way for them to hide unless you specifically provide it for them. Keep all household cleaners put away so that they can't get to them same with personal care products and soaps. Anything with a fringe or frayed edges is a danger for them to get caught in and can result in severe injury or death.
