As far as I could tell from the OP's posts the bird was eyeing the closet as if it was scared of it, which is the reason for my reply. I hope that I did not inadvertantly cause you to think that they were thinking of putting the bird in it as I didn't get that from their posts.

I never mentioned keeping him in a closet, so that's just a bizarre assumption. And tricks with positive reinforcement is our, non-sexual bonding activity. It's fantastic. I love seeing how proud of himself he is. You can actually tell by how he stands. It's adorable,

Besides that, the last couple nights have been great. I think all the toys, and showing him the closet really put whatever fears or anxiety he had to rest. He seems completely comfortable, and started becoming chatty again. I think its safe to say, though it took a couple weeks, the move was successful.

Ditto, glad he is now going back to normal! But you would be surprised how 'unbizarre' the assumption of putting a bird in a closet is - people do all kinds of things that I consider bizarre and cruel: they put them in basements, they cover their cages during the day, they put them in closets, they make them hungry so they would learn a trick, they don't answer or go to see what's wrong with the poor animal when it's begging for attention... and the list goes on and on.
