I don't know what to say, I have to order them online as the only pet store in my area doesn't carry them either. Have you asked the pet store in your area if they can order them?

These are the ones that I use. Hope this helps.

I get my sweetfeet perches from ABBA and I know they are also carried by specialized bird stores (not pet stores where they sell stuff for all kinds of pets but stores that only sell bird stuff and nothing else) but they are also found online (http://www.amazon.com/Sweet-Feet-Beak-S ... feet+perch) Sometimes, they are also called pumice perches so maybe the ones you can get are the same...

Great, I am glad that you learned how to do it from a vet as I think that it is probably the better way to learn it.

I just give him an almond in the shell while he's on a flight perch. While distracted with it, I sneak a couple clips just off the tip of the foot he's standing on. Easy. Peasy.

Actually, scratch that. He didn't let me today... You could always wait till one of the roofing guys on top of the building spooks your bird into a frozen stare...and grab your clippers! That works too, lol. I'll be looking into sweetfeet maybe.

Or I've always used one of those big cactus sand perches as the lowest perch in his cage with a turning round forager because I know he's interested and moving his feet around while working on it.
